Adopting a methodology of openness to the outer world at all levels since its inception, Islam has always been providing us with the momentum to launch channels of dialogue with other peoples and civilizations. No sooner had great Muslim Caliph Al Ma›moun taken over, than he established the House of Wisdom Bookstore, where thousands of books were translated into many languages, sending scores of students in scholarships abroad to keep abreast of the scientific and technological advances that were rapidly taking place in Europe at the time. Islam, therefore, has never been a roadblock impeding the drive for openness, but rather a driving force that has effectively and tirelessly been contributing to attempts to benefit from the inexhaustible wells of knowledge in every nook and cranny of the world, even if in China, as preached by Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). Out of this universal, timeless approach, Islam has always been ready to champion all noble human causes, regardless of any earthly considerations that have any thing to do with religious doctrines, races or sexes, for it is, in essence, a religion for all peoples and rather for the best of all peoples.
